I got this one from Bloghungry. It's fast and easy and tasty. If I had the energy, I'd try to reverse-engineer the packets used in this recipe, because I'd surely prefer to use actual spices instead of little foil folders of chemicals. I know cumin would figure in the equation... At any rate, I'm okay with using the chemicals for now. A few inscrutably polysyllabic ingredients every now and then won't hurt me. Much.

Santa Fe Soup

2 lbs ground beef or turkey
1 onion, chopped
1 oz ranch dressing mix
2 packets taco seasoning
16 oz can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
16 oz can black beans, drained and rinsed
16 oz can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
16 oz can tomatoes with chilies, undrained
16 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
32 oz can white corn, undrained

Brown meat with onion, dressing mix, and taco seasoning. Add remaining ingredients and 2¼ cups water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes. Garnish bowls with shredded cheese, chopped onions, sour cream, or crushed tortilla chips.
